Economy, Tourism, and Sport Minister Matjaž Han concluded a two-day official visit to Switzerland on April 10, 2024. He and his Swiss counterpart, Guy Parmelin, discussed enhancing economic cooperation, with a focus on Switzerland recognizing Slovenia as an attractive investment destination.

Han emphasized the successful collaboration and strong relations between the two countries, highlighting Switzerland as one of Slovenia's main trading partners.

They identified opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, including construction, renewable energy, digitalization, and ICT, as well as enhancing collaboration between the startup ecosystems.

Han assured Switzerland of Slovenia's commitment to maintaining and improving its attractiveness for investment and high-tech activities, mentioning tax incentives and financial support for R&D and company development. During the visit, Han visited pharmaceutical companies Sandoz and Novartis, which are significant investors in Slovenia, and discussed Slovenia's pragmatic approach to attracting investments.
